Hello! My name is Paige Van Vooren and I am from Apex, NC. I am currently a senior at High Point University studying Organismal Biology. I am a Natural Science Fellow and I do undergraduate research on autumn leaf color changes in oak trees using GIS to create predictive maps. I am interested in ecology, environmental science, and animal behavior studies, particularly with marine wildlife. I hope to do field research in some area of ecology after I graduate. I am a member of Alpha Chi Omega, where we hold philanthropy events to raise money to support domestic violence survivors and to educate people about healthy relationships. I also love art! I have been growing my drawing skills through college courses and just as a hobby. I love photography and I like to take pictures of flowers around campus as a way to destress. I also enjoy working with wire to create sculptures, jewelry, etc. I do hope to improve my painting skills at some point.
